Sometimes we are run down by emotions coz we are experiencing something that does not come around so easily -- love!
It will be interesting if we get married, your a moslem and am a christian, d drama begins....
1. On friday she has prayers, i have to accompany her...coz on sunday i'll hav to go with her to church
2. In whose name shall we be making our prayers -- Allah or Jesus?
3. Shall we teach our children about the ways of Allah, Jesus or both?
In the end the character of the god people have will be displayed in their hearts and lives....its much more deeper than saying "But he loves me and i love him!" |

Dexter, i think the issue of the question is pretty much clear.. Call me conservative, but i think a guy should always pop the question.. Trust me.. u don't want it on ur "conscience" that she is the one who proposed to you".. so lets just leave pie as pie.. some things are just not meant to be changed :)

A believer can not and should not date a non believer and vice verser. Even the preach, convert and marry system (PCM) is DANGEROUS. For starters, the interests, beliefs and values are as different as day and night. From where to hang out to what activities to indulge in, name it. Un fortunately, brothers and sisters- especially sisters- often compromise out of being disperate. Does the 'biological clock' talk ring a bell?! I hear even men have it these days. Paul the apostle strongly warns us against 'dating' and marrying non believers. In fact he does not beat around the bush about the subject. Thus i dont really see how controversial this topic is. You want the answer, its just a verse /scripture away. Paul's letter to the corinthians.

well, was a cool one u know, but Darkness and Light do not mix. if they did, wat colour will we have?...Mid-Morning?...so it's a good thing to date someone who belongs to your camp. It's a kingdom Law, giving by our God and His Christ.And we owe them some respect and for our goood too.

Dating is a very good thing but mind who you date coz it involves you spiritual,mentally,physically, emotionally and in every way.Dont lose your focus coz of sm simple romance that will end as SOON as the other person gets what he or she wants. You are so valueable and God doesnt want to see you sad thats why He has a plan 4 u. You will attract the people of your own character, so pray that God will bring the right guy your way. Its very disterous to date a non beliver coz u will start to compromise ur faith. I belive that has belivers we should not look at marriage as a bed of roses and so we should not just Date anyone. God will not connect you to someone who is not meant for you,when you go out with a non beliver then u get those probs and start saying God is not fair,its you who is not fair coz you refused to trust GOD 4 THE BEST.

dating a non believer is disaster for recipe or i mean recipe for disaster. you want to go to church your partner wants to go to the beach or clubbing. your beliefs are not connected at all and you have nothing common except for the uuuhh feeling going on between you two. At the end of the day one has to compromise and comform to their partners ways, and 98% leave faith and conform to the no-belivers ways.

Qns:
If God is my father then who will my father-in-law be?
If my body a temple of the Holy Spirit, what will his or her body be a temple of?
You know what if you decide to link a goat to a lion with a rope rest assured the goat is dead.
Think of it this way. Try to imagine a mixture of darkness and light how would it be?
One other thing you know is that relationship is no Holy and you are like to begin at a mode that may not please God; thus sex takes the lead and other things follow ( reverse of Matt6:33). At that gear rest assured there is not going to be trust, Commit and things will grow tough.

Long time.....I am happy to be back, up and about!!
So...this dating bit?? Is it Dating or Courtship were are talkin about here? I really like to differentiate the two and not let the masses take both to mean the same!
Anyways, about "age being just a number??"...I think it is but only that "the Two" ought to know what they are up against!! Society and their respective cultural norms and beliefs! With God, all is well and therefore, as long as God`s standards are adhered to, the rest is history as I say.
So....ladies n gents, don get scared from ya rib all coz of the "Age-Number" business!!

OKAY! ..FAST FORWARD TO THURSDAY THE 20TH OF SEPTEMBER 2007!!!!
WAT HAPENED TO THIS DEBATE ...DID IT JUST DIE OF NATURAL CAUSES???
..OR WERE THE ISSUES RAISED TOO HOT FOR SOME OF THE BRETHREN TO HANDLE
..I'M TRYING MY LEVEL BEST TO THINK CONTEMPORARY HERE BUT I WOULD ALSO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE THEORY THAT AGE IS JUST A NUMBER! I HAVE A COUNTER THEORY THAT GIVES ROOM TO CONSIDER ALL THE OPTIONS CAREFULLY!
THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS A ONE SIZE FITS ALL THEORY ..I'M SURE THAT EVEN JEOSH WOULD HAVE EXCEPTIONS ...THOSE PARTICULAR LADIES OLDER THAN HIM FOR WHOM HE WOULD THINK TWICE!!!!!!

Guyz this is interesting.
I just want you to know what dating involves. This is a person you are expecting to get married to or to marry.
Consider what God expects of us. You as a christian should get married to a christian not an unbeliever. While dating many things happen psychologhically, physically and spiritually. You can just imagine this can cause one lots of trouble leading to backsliding. Obedience is better that sacrifice. A sheep is sheep and a goat is a goat. You can not say that a good goat can be a sheep no not at all.
Its time to wake up come on stop comforming to the world but rather be transformed by the renewal of your mind. Roms 12:1--
Do not, not even think of dating an unbeliever. Its testing time i know where some may appear attactive and too good and "holy". Be true and obey God.

Ribs, ribs, ribs! a friend of mine was at the Registra of marriages office sometime. she was picking papers for her firm (she's on clerkship) when she was ambushed by a chick she had met only once. the chick dragged her to the registra's office to be a witness for her civil union with a muzungu. while she was recovering from the shock of the sudden marraige as the bride and groom were declared husband and wife just like that, the groom immediately asked his lawyer if the papers used for divivng property (i've forgetten the name) were ready, just in case they seperated! just second after marriage and you are palnning for a divorce! banange, the world is weird!!! |
